On October 19, while Walmart was still open, Gursimran’s mother lost contact with her for an hour. Her body was then discovered in a large oven within the bakery section. The incident has led authorities to inspect the walk-in oven, which is commonly used in larger bakeries to prepare products in batches. Halifax Regional Police responded to the “sudden death” report around 9:30 PM.
