About PSG College of Arts & Science

PSG College of Arts and Science (PSG CAS) is a college in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1947 by G. R. Damodaran. PSG College of Arts and Science was founded in 1947 by the PSG and Sons Charities, which were created in 1926 by P.S. Govindasamy Naidu’s four sons.

Initially, the college was affiliated with Madras University until 1978. After that, it became autonomous and affiliated with Bharathiar University. This shift to autonomy made PSG one of the first colleges in Tamil Nadu to gain such status.

PSG College of Arts and Science has been recognized with a 2.5-star rating by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Additionally, it received ISO 9001:1994 certification in 2001 and later upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2003.
