Who Are Eligible For The Mensa Foundation Scholarship 2024?

When judging the essays, special attention will be given to how clearly you state your goals, including specific details about your experiences or the steps you’ve taken toward achieving them.

The essay should be persuasive, showing how your past achievements and future plans make it likely you’ll reach your goal. Proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation are also important.

For this scholarship competition, each student can submit only one application. You must plan to enroll in an accredited school for the 2024-25 academic year. Make sure to fill out all the required details on the entry form.

Your essay should be your original work, no longer than 550 words. You’ll need to paste it directly into the scholarship application form on the website. Any extra words beyond the limit will be cut off. Keep in mind that your essay will be reviewed in plain text format, so don’t use any special formatting.

About Mensa Foundation

The U.S. scholarship program is supported by around 450 volunteers across the country, along with help from the Foundation’s office staff. You don’t need to be a Mensa member to apply for the U.S. scholarships.

However, Mensa members and their dependents who are heading to college can apply for special $2,500 scholarships through the Mensa Member Scholarship Program. Winners are notified by mail and email in mid-June.

For international Mensa members (outside American Mensa), there is a separate scholarship program. One scholarship is for international Mensa members and their dependents who are going to college in the U.S. The other scholarships are for those attending college outside the U.S.
