About Erie County Fair
The Erie County Agricultural Society is a private, non-profit organization that runs the Erie County Fair each year. Founded in 1819, it is the oldest civic group in Western New York. The Society does not get any funding from New York State or Erie County.
The main goal of the Society is to preserve and promote New York State’s agricultural and historical heritage through educational activities. The Erie County Fair, organized by the Society, aims to celebrate and highlight the community’s agricultural traditions, talents, and cultural diversity.
